The split between those who have or will donate to Sept. 11 relief efforts via star-studded benefit concerts and those have not or do not plan to is nearly even, according to a recently completed Billboard.com poll. 55% of 2,587 voters said they will not support such efforts, while 45% said they would.

The largest segment of respondents, 29%, said they have donated or plan to donate through other non-celebrity-oriented efforts, while 26% say they do not plan to donate any money at this time.

On the other hand, 24% of those who voted said that these celebrity-stacked concerts were worth paying for anyway, and it was a bonus that the money was going to a good cause. Another 21% felt that pledging a donation or paying for tickets that would benefit relief efforts was the least that they could do.

A new poll gauging your plans for spending during the upcoming holiday season in the wake of the terrorist attacks on the U.S. is now underway in The Voting Booth. Stop by and cast your vote today!
