Enduring vocalist Tony Bennett has lined up an array of promotional appearances surrounding his new Columbia album "Playin' With My Friends: Bennett Sings the Blues," due Tuesday (Nov. 6) from RPM/Columbia. On Monday, the artist will preside over the opening of the Nasdaq stock market in New York, which will be broadcast live on the video tower outside the market's Times Square location.

On Wednesday, Bennett will autograph copies of the new album at Borders on Park Avenue and 57th Street. The artist is also confirmed to appear at a Nov. 14 tribute to New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, additional details of which have yet to be announced. Proceeds will benefit Sept. 11 relief efforts via the Twin Towers Fund and the Forum's Children's Fund.

Bennett isn't neglecting television though, as he's scheduled to appear this month on "The Today Show," "The View," "The Late Show With David Letterman," and "Live with Regis & Kelly." On Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22), he will perform in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, to be broadcast live nationally on NBC. Finally, Bennett will sing at the annual tree lighting ceremony at New York's Rockefeller Center on Nov. 28.

Having recently completed a tour with vocalist k.d. lang, Bennett has a handful of tour dates confirmed through the end of the year, beginning Saturday (Nov. 3) in Aurora, Ill. Also on his schedule is a New Year's Eve show at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

As previously reported, the Phil Ramone-produced "Playin' With My Friends" includes collaborations with Ray Charles, B.B. King, lang, Stevie Wonder, and Billy Joel, among others.
