U2's upcoming live concert home video release, "Elevation 2001: Live From Boston," will receive a world premiere preview Nov. 23 on VH1 at 9 p.m. ET. Captured in early June during the four nights the band played Beantown on the first leg of its Elevation tour, the full-length concert will be released in the U.S. Dec. 4 on DVD ($32.98 list price) and VHS ($19.98) formats.

Retailer Best Buy will exclusively sell the disc two weeks prior to the official release, beginning Nov. 20, Billboard Bulletin reports.

The VH1 preview will also be available via a radio simulcast, according to the band's official Web site, which notes that the non-exclusive broadcast will be made available to any station wishing to air the special. Prior to the preview, VH1 will air its "Legends" special on the band at 8 p.m. ET.

The Boston shows had already been taped when the Edge announced during a late June U2.com chat that the band was planning a DVD release and television broadcast.
