Perennial piano men Elton John and Billy Joel have lined up additional U.S. tour dates in early 2002. Only four dates have yet been set -- for Washington, D.C., and Boston in January and Hartford, Conn., and Philadelphia in February -- but more are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets for all four shows go on sale Saturday (Nov. 17), according to a post on John's official Web site. John is currently touring in Asia with dates in Hong Kong this weekend and also plans to hit the U.S. for a short set of solo dates later this month.

Joel and John released three albums between them last month: John's "Songs from the West Coast" (Rocket/Universal), his first album since 1997; Joel's greatest-hits package "The Essential Billy Joel" (Columbia); and "Fantasies & Delusions: Music for Solo Piano" (Columbia/Sony Classical), which features pianist Richard Joo performing Joel's new classical-leaning compositions.

John and Joel played a six-week North American jaunt this past spring, and teamed for a rendition of John's "Your Song" at last month's Concert for New York City.
