Britney Spears has formed an as-yet-unnamed production company and is in final negotiations to with screenwriter James V. Hart ("Contact") to write a feature film project for her to star in. No details of the project have been disclosed. Spears has also signed with ICM for representation in all areas except for music, where she will remain with Wright Entertainment.

As previously reported, Spears will make her featuring acting debut as Lucy in the coming-of-age film "Crossroads," which Paramount/MTV Films will release Feb. 15 in U.S. theaters. The movie co-stars Zoe Saldana ("Get Over It") and Taryn Manning ("crazy/beautiful") as Spears' friends, as well as Dan Aykroyd and Kim Cattrall as her parents.

Spears' new album, "Britney," is enhanced with clips from the film. The set is No. 2 on its second week on The Billboard 200 and has already sold nearly 1.1 million copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan. The single "I'm a Slave 4 U" is at a new high of No. 27 on The Billboard Hot 100.

The artist's North American tour in support of "Britney" hits Milwaukee tonight (Nov. 27).
