After spending the month of December jamming and recording in Austin, Texas, Eyes Adrift -- an alternative rock supergroup fronted by former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and featuring Meat Puppets founding guitarist Curt Kirkwood and Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh -- is road testing material on a West Coast club tour running through Feb. 7. Said to possess an "alt-country" sound by one reviewer, Eyes Adrift debuted this past weekend with shows in Seattle and Portland, Ore.
For Novoselic, the endeavor marks his second stab at a supergroup, after participating an all-star Los Angeles studio jam last fall that reunited him with Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, and featured Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, L7's Donita Sparks, and session drummer Jim Keltner. While the results of that session may never see official release, Eyes Adrift has concrete plans to release an album on an as-yet-undetermined label. The trio will to resume recording its debut long-player in Austin, after wrapping up its tour there.

Jan. 28: San Francisco (Slim's Club)
Jan. 29: Sacramento, Calif. (Harlow's)
