L.A.-based rap act Dilated Peoples will headline the upcoming Scratch Tour, set to kick off March 5 in San Francisco. The trek, which will also feature GrandWizzard Theodore, Z-Trip, and the Original Jazzy Jay, along with a rotating list of guest DJs, will be coupled with screenings of the Palm Pictures DJ documentary "Scratch."

Confirmed dates run through a March 22 gig in Atlanta, although the tour is slated to last through a finale at the annual Winter Music Conference, which will run March 23-27 in Miami. Special guest DJs lined up for the Scratch Tour are Beastie Boys collaborator Mix Master Mike (March 5-7), DJ Swamp (March 8,11), DJ Craze (March 13-14), and DJ Q-Bert (March 15-25).

As previously reported, "Scratch" is an independent film directed by Doug Pray ("Hype") that looks at hip-hop inspired DJs. Featuring the likes of Q-Bert, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, and Mix Master Mike, the film traces the evolution of "turntablism." The film opened Feb. 15 in select U.S. cities.

Dilated Peoples will be touring in support of its latest Capitol album, "Expansion Team." The follow-up to 2000's acclaimed "The Platform," "Expansion Team" debuted last November at No. 8 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 36 on The Billboard 200.

Along with the Scratch Tour, the group is slated to appear at the third Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, set for April 27-28 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif. Tickets for that event go on sale March 2.
