Everclear frontman Art Alexakis will begin a 16-city solo tour March 21 in Detroit. The artist will play a mix of Everclear favorites, songs from his pre-Everclear band Colorfinger, new songs such as "Glorious" and "Volvo-Driving Soccer Mom," and "a few surprises." Alexakis is working on his solo debut album plus a new Everclear set, both due this year on Capitol.

"I'm not defined by Everclear," Alexakis told Billboard in December. "There are things I want to do, even if the music isn't worlds away. This can be just my thing; it's not a committee." He added that his solo album "isn't going to get that crazy. There are going to be some acoustic songs; there are going to be some rock songs."
