Rapper C-Murder (real name: Corey Miller) has been indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the January shooting death of a teenager at a nightclub in Harvey, La, Billboard Bulletin reports. Miller -- the younger brother of hip-hop mogul Master P -- was arrested Jan. 19.

Police said as many as 300 people were inside the nightclub when Miller pulled out a handgun and killed 16-year-old Steve Thomas with a single gunshot. There was no indication that Thomas had pulled out a weapon, and the reason for the argument was unknown, authorities said.

At the time of the shooting, Miller was out on bail on an unrelated attempted-murder charge. In a statement, D3 Entertainment says the rapper "vehemently denies all charges."

The C-Murder album "Tru Dawgs" is due April 30 on Miller's Tru Records label, distributed by D3.
