Veteran rock artist Don Henley and recent Grammy winner Train have signed on to perform at Tiger Jam V, set for April 20 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Presented by Coca-Cola, the annual benefit concert raises funds for the Tiger Woods Foundation and Las Vegas- and Los Angeles-based children's charities.
"I am very excited to have both Don Henley and Train as part of Tiger Jam V," pro golfer and foundation co-founder Tiger Woods said in a statement. "I have been a fan of Don's for a long time, and Train is a band whose sound I really love."
Tickets for the event start at $45 each, and will go on sale Sunday (March 10) via Ticketmaster and the Mandalay Bay box office. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information, contact the Tiger Jam office at 714-816-1806.
Founded in 1996 by Woods and his father Earl, the Tiger Woods Foundation sponsors junior golf clinics, motivational speeches, and educational and community programs in an effort to empower young people to reach their highest potential. For more information, visit the foundation's official Web site.
Since 1998, the Tiger Jam events have raised more than $3 million for children's related charities. Over the last two years, the event has featured Billboard Century Award winner John Mellencamp, Third Eye Blind, Christina Aguilera, LeAnn Rimes, and Seal.
