Alanis Morissette will kick off her first North American tour in three years on May 1 in San Diego. So far, dates for the trek run through May 27 in Virginia Beach, Va., but more are expected to be added. Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams will support on all dates. Information about special pre-sale tickets is due to be posted tonight (March 27) via Morissette's official Web site.

Morissette will be supporting her latest Maverick album, "Under Rug Swept," which is No. 4 on The Billboard 200 this week and features the single "Hands Clean," which is No. 3 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 Tracks chart. Earlier this week, the artist had to cut short a promotional tour in Australia after falling ill with an undisclosed virus. She has since returned to the U.S.

Adams continues to garner critical acclaim for his Lost Highway album "Gold," released last fall. Prior to the dates with Morissette, he will play handful of U.K. dates, beginning April 7 in Manchester. Adams will also be on hand for a previously announced concert tribute to Willie Nelson, set for April 14 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.

Other acts confirmed to appear at the event, which will be taped for future broadcast by cable channel A&E, include Aaron Neville, Dave Matthews, Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams III, Bon Jovi's Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora, Lee Ann Womack, Lyle Lovett, Norah Jones, and matchbox twenty.
