The Songwriters Hall of Fame (SHOF) will present a pair of special awards to Stevie Wonder and Garth Brooks at the organization's June 13 induction and awards ceremony. Wonder will receive a lifetime achievement award, while Brooks will be honored with the Hitmaker Award. As previously reported, this year's SHOF induction class includes Barry Manilow, Michael Jackson, Nicholas Ashford and Valerie Simpson, Randy Newman, and Sting.

"Each has contributed mightily to the creative and artistic community, having achieved unprecedented milestones," National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame chairman Hal David said of Wonder and Brooks in a statement. "They have raised the standard of music making to a new level. I look forward to presenting to these huge talents their most deserved honors."

In addition to the inductees, the SHOF will present the Abe Olman Publishers Award to National Music Publishers Association CEO Ed Murphy, and its Towering Song Award to "You're a Grand Ol' Flag," written by George M. Cohan.

Tickets to the June 13 SHOF event are $750, and will benefit the organization's educational programs. Tickets can be purchased through Buckley Hall Events at 212-573-6933.
