News on Alanis Morissette, Perry Como, Elvis Costello

StonezAlanis Morissette will star in her first all-request concert for the Oxygen network June 11 in New York, Billboard Bulletin reports. Through several weeks of online voting at, fans will determine not only which songs Morissette will perform, but also which she will perform acoustically, and on the set design theme. Oxygen will televise the event June 23 at 8 p.m. ET, as well as stream it on its Web site.

Morissette resumes a North American tour May 30 in Camden, N.J. She is on the road in support of her latest Maverick album, "Under Rug Swept," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in March. The single "Hands Clean" is No. 8 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart this week.

he loves the nightlifeThe estate of late crooner Perry Como will hit the auction block from May 30 to June 2 at Dawson's Auctioneers and Appraisers' Morris Plains, N.J. gallery, and will also be featured on online auction site eBay, allowing the participation of Como fans from around the globe.

The estate comprises 1,500 lots ranging in estimated value from less than $100 to $30,000, including furnishings, automobiles, jewelry, art, golf clubs, fishing rods, and memorabilia from Como's Jupiter, Fla. home. Each item is pictured on Dawson's official Web site as well as on eBay.

Como, who charted more than 100 singles over the course of a seven-decade career, died at age 88 at his home in May 2001.

ElvisIsland Records is giving away a trip for two to see Elvis Costello in Europe this summer. Fans can enter the contest via, named after the song "Tear Off Your Own Head (It's a Doll Revolution)," the first single from Costello's latest album, "When I Was Cruel."

The grand prize winner and a guest will be flown to Europe and will enjoy deluxe accommodations and tickets to see Costello perform on a yet-to-be-determined date. A quintet of second prize winners will each win an electric guitar signed by the artist. Deadline for entry via the site is June 30.

Costello is in the midst of a North American tour, which tonight (May 21) touches down at the Historic Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif. He'll be on the road stateside through a June 24 show in Atlanta, which will be followed by a six-date Japanese tour, and a quick visit to Australia.

So far, a July 22 gig in Liverpool, England, is Costello's only confirmed European date. He's expected back in the U.S. on Aug. 30 to perform a free concert as part of NBC's "Today" concert series in New York's Rockefeller Center.
