Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth's Song for Song: The Heavyweight Champs of Rock'N'Roll tour will play a second leg of North American amphitheatre and arena dates, beginning July 23 in Bossier City, La. The jaunt will now close Sept. 7 in Las Vegas. The two former Van Halen frontmen drop in tonight (June 14) on San Antonio, Texas.

Prior to the tour's launch last month outside Cleveland, Hagar voiced concerns to Billboard.com about the stability of his road-mate. "Of course, the few times I've been around him, he's definitely on the edge of going one way or another," he said of Roth. "I don't think he's quite as stable and consistent a human being or a performer as I am and I think he could easily do something. I'm worried about it because it's not going to change my life but I think it would really hurt the fans and the credibility of this tour if he pulled out for some reason."

The shows have so far found each artist alternating headlining slots each night and plowing through setlists largely dominated by Van Halen material. Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony has joined Hagar on stage at several gigs and is expected to appear again unannounced on some of the upcoming West Coast shows.
