Hard rock outfit Papa Roach will celebrate tomorrow's (June 18) release of its sophomore album, "lovehatetragedy" (DreamWorks) with a free concert on the roof of a Los Angeles Best Buy store. The concert, which will get underway at 7 p.m. PT, is open to the first 1,500 fans who pre-ordered the disc from the 11301 West Pico Blvd. Best Buy location.

The rooftop performance -- at which the band will autograph copies of the new disc for as long as time permits -- is just one of a handful of special events that herald the release of "lovehatetragedy." Tonight the group will play a free show at the Sacramento (Calif.) Memorial Auditorium for fans who pre-ordered the disc at one of four Dimple Records locations (Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Roseville, and Folsom).

Minneapolis-area fans who pre-ordered the disc through the Coon Rapids, Minn., Best Buy location will be treated to a June 19 autograph signing session. The next night, the band will perform and sign autographs at Looney Tunes in West Babylon, N.Y., for the first 200 people who pre-ordered the album through the store.

"lovehatetragedy" is the follow-up to 2000's "Infest," which peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and featured the single "Last Resort," which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 4 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks tally. Initial pressings of the Brendan O'Brien-produced set will boast two bonus tracks, the original composition "Never Said It" and a cover of the Pixies' "Gouge Away."

Earlier this month, "lovehatetragedy" lead single "She Loves Me Not" peaked earlier this month at No. 10 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. The track is No. 12 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks tally.

As previously reported, Papa Roach will hit the road July 18 in Buffalo, N.Y., with the Anger Management tour. The 33-date trek will also boast Eminem, Xzibit, Ludacris, the X-Ecutioners, and a rotating cast that will include Bionic Jive, Obie Trice, and Eminem cohorts D12.

Prior to the Anger Management outing, Papa Roach will perform Saturday at KNDD Seattle's Endfest concert in George, Wash. That show will also feature Our Lady Peace, Tenacious D, the Strokes, Cypress Hill, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Hoobastank, and others.
