Rayvon looks set to follow in the footsteps of longtime collaborator and friend Shaggy by bringing the worlds of dancehall, R&B, and pop together on his Big Yard/MCA debut, My Bad. Known for his guest appearances on Shaggy hits "Angel" and "In the Summertime," the singer/songwriter has crafted a melodic, 14-track set that blends all genres while remaining true to his own sound. Lead single "2-Way" showcases Rayvon's player side. The track, featuring Shaggy, Rik Rok, and labelmates Brian & Tony Gold, is an appropriate introduction to the set. "Do You Wanna Ride" serves as the album's purest dancehall track. This head-nodder, produced by Shaggy, will surely have bodies moving this summer. Rayvon also taps into his reggae roots on such tracks as the melodic "Danger Zone" and "English Pound."—RH
