Jane's Addiction, Bad Brains, Cypress Hill, Pennywise, Ozomatli, and the Breeders are among the confirmed acts for the Mextravaganza music festival, to be held Aug. 30-Sept 1 in Los Cabos, Mexico. The initial edition of the festival will also include DJ sets by the likes of Roni Size, Dynamite MC, Groove Armada, and Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell.

Flashy former NBA basketball star Dennis Rodman will handle emcee duties for the event, which is to be held on a mile-long stretch of beach along Mexico's Pacific coastline. Two venues will be set up on the beach within walking distance of a group of hotels. Alongside the music, Mextravaganza will also feature two surf contests -- the Oxbow ASP Longboard finals and the Shortboard Expression Session.

Tickets are only available for the entire three-day weekend, with regular passes available for $199. VIP packages including special access and unlimited bottled water and malt beverages go on sale tomorrow (June 22) for $299.

As previously reported, Jane's Addiction has been at work on its first studio album since 1990's "Ritual de lo Habitual," which hit No. 19 on The Billboard 200 and sported the No. 1 Modern Rock Tracks chart hits "Been Caught Stealing" and "Stop." The group has a handful of U.S. and international tour dates on tap through late August.
