DJ Sasha, one half of the renowned team of Sasha and Digweed, has lined up a host of tour dates in support of his upcoming artist debut, "Airdrawndagger," due Aug. 6 from Kinetic. First up is a run of August shows in small venues, kicking off Aug. 14 at Arc in New York and wrapping Aug. 22 at Ruby Skye in San Francisco. Beginning Sept. 25 in Las Vegas, Sasha returns to North America with a more extensive production setup. Those dates are set through Nov. 3 in Toronto.

"I haven't felt the need to have any massive collaborations with guest singers and other artists on this album," the DJ said of "Airdrawndagger" in a statement. "It's an album that's true to me and true to all the people who have heard me DJ or bought my mix albums over the years. This album is for them."

Sasha and Digweed's latest album, "Communicate," bowed at No. 5 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart in June 2000 and has sold 109,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. John Digweed can be seen playing the dance tent on this summer's Area2 tour, and recently released the compilation "MMII" via Warner Strategic Marketing.
