A memorial service for the late Billboard editor in chief Timothy White will be held July 23 at 4 p.m. in the Tishman Auditorium of the New School, 66 W. 12th St., New York. To attend, please RSVP to twmemorial@billboard.com.

On June 27, White collapsed in an elevator in Billboard's New York offices and was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of an apparent heart attack. He was 50.

As previously reported, a number of top artists -- including John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, and Don Henley -- have committed to playing an as-yet-unscheduled tribute concert in memory of White.

A tribute to White appears in the July 13, 2002, issue of Billboard; to view an online version, click here.
