This October, Dolly Parton will undertake her first tour of the U.K. and Ireland in 19 years. Promoter Asgard has confirmed that the shows, billed as "An Evening With Dolly Parton," will take place across five nights, beginning Oct. 16 in Glasgow. The artist is currently in the midst of a U.S. tour -- her first in a decade -- that wraps Aug. 31 in Kansas City, Mo.

These will be Parton's first dates in Britain and Ireland since May 1983, and the opening night in Glasgow will be her first Scottish show since she played the King's Theatre on May 13, 1977 at the Queen's Silver Jubilee Concert. Asgard joint managing director Paul Fenn tells Billboard.com more European dates may be added to the itinerary. He will travel to the U.S. to see Parton's show Sunday (July 21) in Nashville at the famed Ryman Auditorium.

Parton is backed on stage and on her new Blue Eye/Sugar Hill album, "Halos & Horns," by the Blueniques. The new set debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart this week and No. 58 on The Billboard 200. In the U.K., where it was released by Sanctuary, the album opened at No. 37.

Here are Dolly Parton's U.K. tour dates:

Oct. 16: Glasgow (Clyde Auditorium)
Oct. 22-23: London (Hammersmith Apollo)
Oct. 26: Manchester, England (Bridgewater Hall)
Oct. 29: Dublin (the Point)
