An alleged rape committed by rapper Mystikal and two other men was captured on videotape, according to Baton Rouge, La., police. Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, surrendered last Thursday and was booked on an aggravated rape charge. He was released on $250,000 bond.

Leland Ellis, 36, and Vercy Carter, 34, of Baton Rouge, turned themselves in and were also booked Thursday. Bond had not been set for either Ellis or Carter. All three were also charged with extortion. Authorities say they threatened to tell police that a woman had received checks from the rapper's account without his permission. The extortion charge accuses Mystikal of demanding sex in exchange for his agreement not to turn the woman over to police.

Mystikal denied the allegations as police led him from headquarters Thursday. His attorneys, Michael Guy and Gary Harvey, would not comment. His agent, Tivester Scott, said, "We have no comment, but are 100 percent sure he is innocent of these charges."

If convicted of the aggravated rape charge, Mystikal would face a mandatory life sentence. The penalty for extortion carries a prison term of one to 15 years. He is accused of attacking the 40-year-old woman after she showed up at his house the night of July 3 to braid his hair.

"During the attacks, the victim was repeatedly threatened with prosecution of the checks and great bodily harm," a police statement said. Authorities said she eventually allowed to leave the residence and was treated at a hospital and released.

According to the arrest warrant, Mystikal ordered the woman to go into his bedroom and undress, then made her perform oral sex on him while he called his friends on the phone. She told police she complied because she was afraid, the warrant said. The woman told police she was forced to have sexual intercourse with Carter and forced to perform oral sex on Ellis while being videotaped, the warrant said.

Among the items detectives confiscated from Mystikal's home was a videotape, and it "confirmed that the accused and two co-defendants had sexually assaulted the victim," the warrant said.

Mystikal was arrested in 1998 in Kenner after a police officer pulled him over and found a marijuana cigarette and a handgun in his car.
