Eclectic U.K. rock trio Supergrass has set a Sept. 30 international release date for its fourth Parlophone album, "Life on Other Planets." The set has already been preceded by the single "Never Done Nothing Like That"; a new single, "Grace," will be released commercially Sept. 16 in the U.K. According to a spokesperson, no North American release date has yet been solidified.

The 12-track "Life on Other Planets" was produced by Tony Hoffer (Air, Beck) and is the follow-up to 1999's self-titled album, which debuted at No. 13 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 72,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group's official Web site is hosting a series of animated clips set to demos of songs from the new album.

Supergrass recently wrapped an Australian tour and will play the U.K.'s V2002 festival in mid-August. A more extensive European outing is expected in the fall.
