As usual, there were a handful of must-tweet moments during Sunday night's 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, some planned, some Kanye West. And while the show handed large blocks of time over to a number of major artists (thus making meme-able moments a bit harder to edit down for bite-sized consumption) it was the usual suspects who came out on top of Twitter's list of most-tweeted celebs and topics.

Not surprisingly, the powerful ending to Beyoncé's epic 15 minute Lemonade performance as the most tweeted about event of the night, according to data provided by Twitter. That was followed by Kanye's debut of his bootylicious "Fade" video and Rihanna's acceptance speech for her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award -- which included that pledge of love and devotion from Drake and their almost-kiss.

Rounding out the top five most-tweeted moments was the bit in Kanye's open-ended speech where he discussed his celeb-filled "Famous" video and shouted out "I see you, Amber" to ex Amber Rose in the audience and then Rihanna's second performance of the night. During the latter, Rih went dancehall, with dozens of dancers crowded around her for a medley of "Rude Boy," "Pon de Replay," "What's My Name?" and "Work."

As for which celebs, performers, presenters and attendees got the most tweets around the globe, of course Bey was at the top of the list, followed by Rihanna, Kanye, Drake and Fifth Harmony
