A warrant for the arrest of Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil has been issued by the Beverly Hills Police Department, according to a spokesperson for the L.A. County district attorney's office. The warrant stems from an April 28 incident in which Neil allegedly attacked a record producer in a nightclub parking lot.

While producer Michael Schuman (the Spinners, Billy Preston) was unable to be contacted, his complaint says that Neil initiated the altercation and assaulted him. Neil is charged with one count of misdemeanor battery. If convicted, he could face up to six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.

A spokesperson from Gold Mountain, Neil's management firm, says, "Vince Neil has fully cooperated with the L.A. County investigators. We believe that the charges against him are ridiculous and that he will be fully exonerated."

As previously reported, Neil is currently on the Rock Never Stops tour, which also features Tesla, Jackyl, and Skid Row. The tour is now slated to run through Sept. 21, wrapping in West Sacramento, Calif., according to the tour's official Web site.
