Marianne Faithfull will support her recently released Virgin album, "Kissin' Time," with a tour encompassing a handful of U.S. dates and an extensive European itinerary. Faithfull will kick of the trek Sept. 13 in Chicago, and stage shows in Boston, Alexandria, Va., Philadelphia, and New York before her October and November European dates.

The singer will return to the U.S. in early December for a show in Los Angeles, and further U.S. dates are expected around that time. Also in the planning stages are visits to Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia.

Prior to the tour, Faithfull is also booked to perform Sept. 2 on CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman." Former Smashing Pumpkins' leader Billy Corgan is expected join her to perform one of his two contributions to "Kissin' Time." In May, she joined Corgan's new band, Zwan, as a surprise guest during the band's set at WKQX Chicago's Jamboree 2002 event.

Along with Corgan, the eclectic "Kissin' Time" also pairs Faithfull with such artists such as Beck, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), and Blur.
