Teen group 3LW -- short for 3 Little Women -- has gotten a bit smaller. Original member Naturi Naughton confirmed in an interview yesterday (Aug. 21) with New York radio station WBLS-FM that she had left because of tensions within the group. At deadline, a representative of the act's label, Epic Records, was unavailable for comment.

Naughton, Adrienne Bailon, and Kiely Williams released their Nine Lives/Epic debut "3LW" in December 2000. A new album, "A Girl Can Mack," is scheduled for an Oct. 1 release. First single "I Do (Wanna Get Close to You)" is No. 55 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks tally and No. 75 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"3LW," which peaked at No. 19 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 29 on The Billboard 200, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of 1 million copies.

Bailon and Williams are in the midst of a promotional radio tour in support of their upcoming release, and are scheduled to appear tomorrow on WAKS Cleveland. The tour will also stop in Hartford, Conn. (WKSS, Aug. 27), Portland, Ore. (KKRZ, Sept. 1), and Minneapolis (KDWB, Sept. 7).

A previously taped 3LW concert will air Sunday on Nickelodeon, while an episode of the cable network's series "All That" featuring the group will air in September, according to the group's official Web site.
