Taproot Tours On Tap

The 12-date run will feature support from Project 86 and Pulse Ultra, and will serve as a warm-up for the band's November/December tour opening for Mudvayne.
Prior to kicking off the tour with a record release party and performance at Detroit's infamous St. Andrew's Hall, Taproot will meet fans at the city's Rockabilly's Record Shop beginning at 4 p.m. The night before, the band is booked to appear on the nationally syndicated radio call-in show "Rockline."
Full dates for Mudvayne's North American tour have not yet been announced, although that act has a handful of club and theater shows set up in the Northeast between an Oct. 25 gig in Clifton Park, N.Y., and a Nov. 3 show in Philadelphia. Mudvayne's new album "The End of All Things to Come" is due Nov. 19. via Epic.
As previously reported, Taproot's "Welcome" was produced by Toby Wright (Alice In Chains, Korn) and mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, System Of A Down). The album is led by the single "Poem," which reached No. 25 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and last week debuted on the Modern Rock Tracks chart at No. 38.
The band's 2000 debut, "Gift," peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 218,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album spawned the singles "I" and "Again," which peaked at No. 34 and 39 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, respectively.
