The movie is a romantic drama about two teenagers who fall in love at a summer resort at the same time that her married father and his married mother also rekindle an affair from years ago. Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and his wife Tracey will executive produce.
Moore, who most recently starred in "A Walk To Remember," will be seen in two upcoming films. "How To Deal," which also features Trent Ford, Peter Gallagher, and Allison Janney, is due Feb. 13 in U.S. theaters. "Saved," which stars Jena Malone, Macaulay Culkin, and Patrick Fugit, is expected next year. R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe is producing.
And while Moore has been steadily increasing her film work, she told Billboard last year she considers herself first and foremost a musical artist. "There's nothing better than being onstage and living fully in the moment," she said. "Every show is different, because every audience brings a different chemistry into the room. It can be a terrifying experience. But it's also the most exciting, exhilarating thing for a performer to experience."
The "A Walk To Remember" soundtrack (Epic) reached No. 34 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 509,000 units in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
