CDs that are enhanced with extra content such as access to private Web site, unreleased music, and ticket offers make buyers more willing to purchase the album, according to a recent Billboard.com poll. 42% of 5,000 voters said such extras prove the artist is making a further committment to fans who purchase their music, while another 15% said the bonus features help offset the price of CDs.

On the flip side, 30% of respondents said they would only buy an album for the music and that any extras are just that. 14% replied that they wouldn't buy the album since the special content might show up somewhere else online anyway.

A new poll regarding which albums due Nov. 12 you are most likely to buy is currently underway in The Voting Booth. Stop by today and register your opinion.
