Eminem, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, and Creed were among the top music vote-getters for the 29th annual People's Choice Awards, set to be broadcast live Jan. 12 from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., on CBS.

The awards show, which determines its winners via Gallup polls of thousands of Americans, will hand out three music awards alongside its TV and film honors: favorite male musical performer, favorite female music performer, and favorite musical group or band. Eminem, Alan Jackson, and Nelly are up for favorite male; Dion, Faith Hill, and Lopez will vie for the favorite female award; and Creed, Dixie Chicks, and 'N Sync are the nominees for favorite musical group or band.

Actor Tony Danza will host the awards ceremony, which will also hand out such awards as favorite new television dramatic series, favorite reality-based program, favorite motion picture actor and actress, favorite male and female television performers, and favorite motion picture.

Garth Brooks, Hill, and 'N Sync won the favorite male musical performer, favorite female music performer, and favorite musical group or band awards, respectively, at last year's 28th annual People's Choice Awards.
