Gov't Mule guitarist Warren Haynes will stage his 14th annual Christmas Jam Dec. 21 in Asheville, N.C. The event, which will raise money for Habitat For Humanity, will feature performances by Gov't Mule, John Hiatt & the Goners, moe., Robert Randolph & the Family Band, and Bob Weir.

The concert will also sport appearances by special guests, including Edwin McCain, Kevn Kinney, former Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed, DJ Logic, Rob Barraco, Jerry Joseph, John Molo, Dave Schools, and more. Tickets are now available through Ticketmaster outlets.

Gov't Mule recently released "The Deep End Volume 2" (ATO), the second CD of a two-part tribute to former Mule bassist Allen Woody, who died of a heart attack in 2000. Both albums feature a host of guest bassists paying tribute to Woody. "Volume 2" debuted at No. 117 on The Billboard 200 in October, its predecessor having debuted at No. 128 in November 2001. Phish bassist Mike Gordon also directed a documentary, "Rising Low," documenting the recording of the two albums.

The group is also planning to ring in the new year at New York's Beacon Theatre, with a pair of shows Dec. 30 and 31.
