Still riding critical acclaim for its Nonesuch debut "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot," Wilco will release a six-song EP early next year, a spokesperson confirms. The as-yet-untitled EP will include non-album track "A Magazine Called Sunset" from the "Yankee" sessions and an alternate version of that set's "Kamera," more traditionally titled "Camera." Other cuts set for the disc are the new songs "Bob Dylan's 49th Beard," "Handshake Drugs," "Woodgrain," and "More Like the Moon."

Meanwhile, Wilco has tacked additional Far East tour dates onto a schedule that already includes a berth on January's Big Day Out tour of Australia and New Zealand.

First, the group will play a Jan. 12 warm-up show in San Francisco before heading overseas. The Big Day Out dates start Jan. 17 in Auckland, New Zealand, and encompass five more dates in Australia. Wilco has inserted gigs in Sydney and Melbourne in the middle of that schedule, then will play shows in Osaka, Japan (Feb. 7) and Tokyo (Feb. 8) as part of Japan's Magic Rock Out indoor music festival.

A host of other Wilco-related music will drop early next year, led by the self-titled debut from Loose Fur, which features Wilco's Jeff Tweedy and Glenn Kotche in tandem with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jim O'Rourke. That set arrives Jan. 28 via Drag City.

On Feb. 18, the DVD version of the Wilco documentary "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" will hit stores. Finally, the long-awaited collaboration between Wilco and part-time Seattle supergroup the Minus 5, "Down With Wilco," is due Feb. 25 from Yep Roc.
