Memphis-based hard rock band Saliva, fresh off the November release of its second Island album, "Back Into Your System" (Island), will hit the road beginning Jan. 14 in Jackson, Miss. The tour will play 16 U.S. dates through early February before the group crosses the Atlantic for a host of European shows throughout February.

Breaking Benjamin and Greenwheel will support the U.S. dates, which run through Feb. 1 in Clifton Park, N.Y. After nine shows on the European mainland, Saliva will be joined by Slipknot side project Stone Sour for a stretch of seven shows in the U.K., starting Feb. 19 in Glasgow and winding up Feb. 26 in London.

"Our music listens like a movie," Saliva frontman Josey Scott recently told Billboard about the new album. "It has peaks and valleys, tension and resolution, and I think that's what attracts people to it."

Scott should know, having contributed a great deal of work to film soundtracks over the past year. "Hero," his collaboration with Nickelback's Chad Kroeger from the "Spiderman" soundtrack" was one of 2002's most popular radio singles, while Saliva cuts also popped up on the soundtracks for "Training Day," "A Knight's Tale," "Resident Evil," and "Blade 2."

"Back Into Your System" debuted at No. 19 on The Billboard 200 in November and has sold 272,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. First single "Always" holds at No. 53 this week on the Hot 100.
