Icelandic rock outfit Sigur Ros will kick off a spring U.S. tour with a March 15-16 stand in Boston. The group is in the midst of a European jaunt that hits Hamburg tomorrow (Feb. 15) and will run through a March 1 date in Lisbon, Portugal. Like-minded ambient rock act the Album Leaf is the opening act for both the European and North American tours.

Among the upcoming dates is March 21 appearance at New York's Radio City Music Hall, the largest capacity venue Sigur Ros has yet headlined in the U.S. The shows come in support of Sigur Ros' sophomore MCA album, "( )," which debuted in November at No. 51 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 116,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The band recently shot a video for the new album's first, untitled track with director Floria Sigismondi. The clip was premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
