Latin star Alejandro Sanz will sit down for a one-on-one interview at the 14th annual Billboard Latin Music Conference, set for May 5-8 in Miami Beach. The May 7 interview will be conducted by Billboard Latin bureau chief Leila Cobo. Sanz is expected to discuss his creative process and his recent work with a host of artists, including Ricky Martin, Alexandre Pires, and the Corrs. One of the top-selling Spanish-language artists in the world, Sanz has not given any major interviews in the past year.

"I'm very excited about participating in this edition of the Billboard Latin Music Conference, particularly because of the professional treatment Billboard has always given music," Sanz said in a statement.

The artist is currently at work on a new studio album. His last release, 2001's "MTV Unplugged" (WEA Latina) reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts. His last studio album, 2000's "Al Alma al Aire," topped out at No. 2 on the Latin Pop chart and No. 3 on the Top Latin Albums tally.

The Billboard Latin Music Conference, presented by Heineken and in association with Garnier Fructis, will be held May 5-8 at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach. For more information, click here.
