Dave Matthews Remembers Chip Hooper: 'He Made the World a Better Place'
Chip Hooper, who was the head of music at Paradigm Talent Agency and the personal agent for Dave Matthews Band, Phish and others, passed away on March 5 at the age of 53, following a long battle with cancer. A week after Hooper’s death, Matthews penned a note in memory of him on Facebook.
“Chip could shine a light on the best things about a person,” Matthews wrote. “He always made me feel worthwhile. He always made you want to do more, and work harder, and believe that you could. He was one of the most generous people I have ever known. I think he made the world a better place.”

Various other friends and colleagues have paid tribute to Hooper as well.
"Chip was a giant of a man with a heart of gold, who never in his life uttered the word 'impossible,' and who inspired greatness," said Marty Diamond, who leads Paradigm's New York operation. "My life and all the lives he touched were blessed."
