Rapper-of-the-moment 50 Cent is preparing to release a DVD April 15 via Shady/Aftermath Records, with live concert footage, video clips, interviews, and new music. Titled "The New Breed," it will include some material featured on the limited-edition DVD that came packaged with the first 500,000 copies of the artist's Shady/Aftermath debut, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'."

"The New Breed" will include a separate maxi-CD featuring new music by 50 Cent and G-Unit, the Queens, N.Y.-based trio the rapper started in 2000 with Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. The DVD will also include an interview with Yayo from his jail cell on Rikers Island, concert footage of 50 Cent, Eminem, D12, and Obie Trice, and a video clip for the "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" track "Heat."

"Get Rich or Die Tryin'" is No. 2 on The Billboard 200 in its fourth week on the chart, having debuted at No. 1 on the strength of 822,000 copies sold in a shortened five-day week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album track "In Da Club" sits atop Billboard's Hot 100 for the second straight week, while his "8 Mile" soundtrack offering, "Wanksta," is at No. 17 on that chart.

50 Cent is currently touring North America and will drop in tonight (March 11) on South Padre Island, Texas. As previously reported, the rapper will join Eminem for the latter's only planned concerts of the year July 12-13 at Detroit's Ford Field.
