Musicians-turned-actors Eminem, Queen Latifah, Beyonce Knowles, and Eve each received nominations for MTV's 2003 Movie Awards, set to take place May 31 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and air June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Eminem, whose showcase feature film "8 Mile" is up for best movie, was also nominated for best male performance and breakthrough male. Queen Latifah is up for best female performance for her role as Matron Mama Morton in "Chicago."

Eve got a nod in the breakthrough female category for her role in "Barbershop," while Destiny's Child's Knowles was nominated in the same category for her appearance as Foxy Cleopatra in "Austin Powers in Goldmember." "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" and "Spider-Man" top the overall nominations list with five each.

Nominations were chosen for the first time through a national poll of MTV and MTV2 viewers. Winners will be determined by votes cast tomorrow (April 15) through May 16 at MTV.com or by telephone at 900-407-4MTV. Virgin Mobile subscribers can vote from the "*MTV" area on their phone screens.
