Artists should probably not contemplate launching extended stands in one or a handful of cities, similar to Celine Dion's planned three-year run at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Artists should probably not contemplate launching extended stands in one or a handful of cities, similar to Celine Dion's planned three-year run at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. According to a Billboard.com poll that netted 3,847 respondents, 43% said that they do not have enough money to travel to see an artist, and worry they'd never get to see their favorite act if they performed only at centralized venues.

Another 39% were undecided, saying it would depend purely on the artist, a factor that works in the favor of an international superstar such as Dion. Just 18% of those voting said that they would enjoy planning a trip around seeing a show by their favorite artist.

A new poll already underway in The Voting Booth asks if you think the packed schedule of summer hard rock tours is good news for the overall rock scene. Stop by and register your opinion today!
