Norah Jones and the Roots will perform a free concert May 9 at New York's Battery Park as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. The concert, titled 100% NYC: A Concert Celebrating the Tribeca Film Festival, is being presented in part by MTV, VH1, and New York top 40 radio station WNEW/102.7 Blink. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

The free tickets will be available as of May 1 through 102.7 Blink giveaways, the MTV Store in midtown Manhattan, New York's Time Warner Cable VIP Box Office, and Time Out New York magazine's subscriber E-newsletter. MTV and VH1 will televise the concert in a May 17 TV special about the festival.

As previously reported, the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival will take place May 3 -May 11 throughout the lower Manhattan neighborhood of Tribeca. As previously reported (Billboard.com, April 9), the festival will showcase a slew of music movies, including those starring Jay-Z, the Ramones, and Eric Clapton.
