A group of Irish acts will hit the U.S. next month for a series of American Fleadh tour dates. Performing under the banner at various dates will be the Saw Doctors, Black 47, Eileen Ivers, Hothouse Flowers, Flogging Molly, and the Prodigals. The tour will visit Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee. Additional dates in New York, Philadelphia, and Buffalo, N.Y., are also possible.

Not all artists will perform on all dates. Additionally, the June 30 stop is part of Milwaukee's annual Summerfest event, which will also feature performances by the Moody Blues, Joe Cocker, the Radiators, the Big Wu, and Michelle Shocked.

The American Fleadh is not to be confused with the much larger Guinness Fleadh events that were staged several years ago in the U.S. Those multi-stage festivals gathered Irish acts as well as big name rock and pop talent for day- and sometimes two-day long events.

In addition to the Fleadh shows, the Saw Doctors will also play a free show June 22 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and have several other U.S. dates scheduled. For more information, visit the band's official Web site. The Saw Doctors will be out supporting their latest album, "Villains?" (Shamtown).

Ivers, an Irish fiddler well-known for her work with "Riverdance," will be touring behind "Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul," released in February via Koch. According to Ivers' Web site, she and her band have solo dates scheduled through the balance of May.
