Reprise will on July 17 release a CD/DVD package of live tracks, demos, and previously unreleased recordings and videos from hard rock act the Used. "Maybe Memories" will boast four songs, including the title track, recorded live in March in Los Angeles, while the DVD will feature footage from the same show.
The audio disc will also boast previously unreleased studio recordings "Just a Little," "Alone This Holiday," and "Untitled Song Idea." Demos of "Bulimic" and "Poetic Tragedy," from the band's self-titled debut, and "Could Be Good Excuse" round out collection.
The DVD will feature a documentary on the band that includes performance clips, home video footage, and videos for "The Taste of Ink," "Buried Myself Alive," and "A Box Full of Sharp Objects," all of which are included on the band's self-titled debut album. A clip for the previously unreleased song "Blue and Yellow" is also included.
Released in June 2002, "The Used" peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 63 on The Billboard 200. The Reprise set has sold 350,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
After a handful of radio station-sponsored festival appearances, the Used will be among the bands taking off on the 2003 Vans Warped Tour. The music and action sports-themed outing kicks off June 13 in Mountain View, Calif., and wraps Aug. 10 in Asbury Park, N.J. The band will follow that will appearances at the U.K.'s Reading and Leeds festivals in late August. For more info, visit the band's official Web site.
