Missy Elliott, 50 Cent, and B2K lead the nominations for the 2003 BET Awards, to be handed out June 24 at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre. Elliott picked up three nods, for best female hip-hop artist, video of the year for "Work It," and best collaboration with Ludacris and Ms. Jade for "Gossip Folks." 50 Cent was nominated in the best new artist and best male hip-hop artist categories, and B2K is up for the best group award and video of the year for "Girlfriend."

The third annual awards ceremony, which will air live on BET, will also include special segments honoring godfather of soul James Brown and NBA legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson. The awards will be hosted by actress/comedian Mo'Nique.

Among the artists so far confirmed to perform at the awards are India.Arie, Yolanda Adams, Snoop Dogg, Donnie McClurkin, 50 Cent, and Brown. Tickets for the ceremony -- ranging from $75 to $500 -- are available starting today (May 14) via Ticketmaster.

Fans will get the chance to vote for the winner of one award, as the Viewer's Choice Poll will be determined by online votes at BET.com during the course of the telecast. The category asks fans to pick their favorite video of the year, from a pool consisting of 50 Cent's "In Da Club," Elliott's "Work It," R. Kelly's "Ignition," Erykah Badu & Common's "Love of My Life," and B2K featuring P. Diddy's "Bump, Bump, Bump."
