News on Summer Jam, Labatt Bash, Joni Mitchell
Eminem, 50 Cent, Nelly, and Sean Paul are among the star-studded performers who will appear at New York radio station Hot 97's Summer Jam X on June 3 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.Y. Other acts include Nas, Busta Rhymes, Lil' Kim, Clipse, and Fabolous. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Hip-Hop Has Heart Foundation. Fans can enter to win tickets via Hot 97's official Web site.
Eminem will be making his only North American appearance of the summer beyond two previously announced July 12-13 shows at Ford Field in his Detroit hometown. Both he and 50 Cent are currently on tour internationally and will play tomorrow (May 23) in Tokyo.
Summer Jam X comes just two days after rival New York station Z100's massive Zootopia show at the same venue. That concert will feature TLC, Mariah Carey, Jewel, Ja Rule, and Kelly Clarkson, among many others.

"American Masters Joni Mitchell: Woman of Heart and Mind" will be released June 3 on DVD via Eagle Vision. The documentary, which recently aired in the U.S. on PBS stations, mines 1960s and '70s performance footage and audio recordings of the 1995 Billboard Century Award honoree, including several previously unreleased songs.
Along with home movies -- some contributed by friend and fellow singer/songwriter Graham Nash -- and an extensive photo archive, "Woman of Heart and Mind" includes interviews with David Crosby, James Taylor, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Nash, among others.
In addition to the 90-minute documentary, the DVD features bonus interview material, a discussion of her paintings and a gallery walk with Mitchell, and several performances from Eagle Vision's 1997 Mitchell concert title "Painting With Words and Pictures."
