DaveDave Matthews' solo debut, "Some Devil," will be released in late September by RCA, sources tell Although longtime collaborator Tim Reynolds is known to have participated in sessions for the project, it is not known what other artists, if any, will appear on the album. Matthews and Reynolds toured together earlier this year and will join up in early August for a set at the Bonnaroo NE festival in Riverhead, N.Y.

As previously reported, Dave Matthews Band violinist Boyd Tinsley steps out solo on June 17 with the RCA/Bama Rags album "True Reflections." Tinsley is expected to play shows in support of the effort after DMB concludes its summer tour Sept. 20 in Atlanta.

LMPThe National Basketball Association (NBA) finals will feature top acts performing before and during upcoming games between the New Jersey Nets and the San Antonio Spurs. Lisa Marie Presley will provide halftime entertainment during the first game of the best-of-seven series on Wednesday (June 4), while Jewel is lined-up to do the same for Sunday's game three. Jam band Phish will sing the National Anthem prior to the fourth game on June 11. All games air live on ABC.

Presley is slated to perform "Sinking In," the second single from her debut Capitol album, "To Whom It May Concern" at the SBC Center in San Antonio, Texas. Jewel is due to perform "Intuition" at East Rutherford, N.J.'s Continental Airlines Arena. The song is the first single from her new album "0304," due tomorrow from Atlantic.

ByrneFormer Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, Citizen Cope, and Pamela Laws (Seven Day Diary) will perform at a June 9 literacy fundraiser in New York. The Bowery Ballroom show will benefit the Brooklyn-based Carter G. Woodson Cultural Literacy Program, which helps at risk students in the New York borough's Brownsville and Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhoods.

Sponsored by the independent publishers alliance BigSmallPressMall, the event will also feature fiction readings by Jonathan Franzen, Mary Gaitskill, and Colson Whitehead. Tickets are $20 in advance and available through TicketWeb or $25 at the venue on the day of the show.
