The ninth annual southern California rockabilly/car culture festival Hootenanny will be held July 5-6 at a new location, Cal State University-Fullerton Field in Fullerton, Calif. The festival's headliners will be Stray Cats (July 5) and Social Distortion (July 6). Over 300 classic cars will be on display, courtesy of a number of local car clubs.

The festival, which had been a one-day concert in previous years, has been expanded into a full weekend this year. It will also include performances by the likes of the Blasters, John Doe, Little Richard, Junior Brown, Rocket From The Crypt, Cadillac Tramps, and Dave Vanian and his Phantom Chords.

The performance by the Stray Cats -- guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer, bassist Lee Rocker, and drummer Slim Jim Phantom -- will be the group's first since 1992, as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its inception.

Tickets for the festival are available through Ticketmaster for $45 per day or $80 for both days. For more information, including a full festival lineup, visit the Hootenanny's official Web site.
