Even though it's not yet summer, Colorado-based jam band the String Cheese Incident is looking ahead to the fall. The band has set up a tour that kicks off with its Sept. 20 appearance at the Austin (Texas) City Limits Music Festival and stretches into mid-October.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale June 24 through sciticketing.com.

The Incident plans to release a new studio album in conjunction with the tour. As previously reported, the as-yet-unnamed set was recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito, Calif., with producer Youth (Verve, Crowded House) and engineer Clive Goddard (Marianne Faithfull, Pulp), and will be issued via the band's own SCI Fidelity label.

Before all that, the group has a handful of summer shows on its schedule, beginning with a June 19 stop at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Then SCI will head overseas for Denmark's Roskilde festival and England's Glastonbury Festival.

Stateside, the group will play multiple-night stands in Santa Fe, N.M., San Francisco and Mount Shasta, Calif., North Plains, Ore., and at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo.

As reported earlier, the band is also slated to open a July 22 show for Bob Dylan. In August, the two acts will both take part in the Bonnaroo NE event in Calverton, N.Y.
