Juelz Santana, the 19-year-old star of Cam'ron's group the Diplomats, is readying his solo debut. "From Me to U" is due Aug. 19 release on Diplomats/Roc-A-Fella Records. M.O.P. and Diplomats members Cam'ron, Jim Jones, and Freeky Zeeky contribute guest shots to the album, which was mostly produced by the Heatmakers.
The set is led by first single "Santana's Town," featuring Cam'ron and Jim Jones. The track shares its name with the Harlem, N.Y., clothing store that Santana runs. Other titles include "Why," "Raindrops," "Squally" featuring JR Rider, and "Okay Okay."
The Diplomats' full-length debut, "Diplomatic Immunity," is No. 17 this week on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The set, which debuted in April at No. 1 on that chart and No. 8 on The Billboard 200, has sold 304,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
