Psychedelic rock trio Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has wrapped its next album, "Take Them On, On Your Own." The 12-track set is due Aug. 18 in the U.K., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand via Virgin, Sept. 1 in Europe, and a day later in North America. A single featuring album track "Stop" and the B-sides "High/Low" and "Take Them On, On Your Own" is tentatively due Aug. 4 internationally.

"Take Them On, On Your Own" is the follow-up to 2000's self-titled effort, which has sold 75,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. As on that set, the group builds from the blueprints of British guitar rock's mid-1990s glory days, echoing Oasis, the Verve, and the Jesus And Mary Chain on the sludgy, distorted "Ha Ha High Babe" and the pounding, riff-driven "Generation," "Rise or Fall," and "Heart and Soul."

A video for "Stop" will be shot by director Charles Mehling, who directed clips for the songs "Spread Your Love" and "Whatever Happened to My Rock'n'Roll (Punk Song)" from BRMC's last album.

BRMC will spend July touring North American clubs, beginning July 5 in Toronto. U.K.-born drummer Nick Jago's outstanding visa issues, which prevented him from entering the U.S. for more than a year, have been resolved, allowing him to participate in the dates.

Here is the tracklist for "Take Them On, On Your Own":

"Stop"
"Six Barrel Shotgun"
"We're All in Love"
"In Like the Rose"
"Ha Ha High Babe"
"Generation"
"Shade of Blue"
