The reunited Joe Jackson Band will return to the U.S. for a second tour.

The reunited Joe Jackson Band will return to the U.S. for a second tour, according to Jackson's official Web site. The trek is due to kick off Aug. 9 in Hartford, Conn., with 13 dates currently scheduled through an Aug. 28 show in Los Angeles. More dates are expected.

On Monday (June 23), Jackson will resume his European tour in Glasgow. That stretch will run through an Aug. 2 show in Werchter, Belgium, and includes a stop at Switzerland's Montreux Jazz Festival.

Jackson first reunited the band -- bassist Graham Maby, guitarist Gary Sanford, drummer Dave Houghton, and Jackson on vocals and piano -- last year, and played a string of club shows in the U.K. prior to recording a new album. Released in March by Restless/Ryko in the U.S. and worldwide via Ryko International, "Volume 4" debuted at No. 8 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart.

"I think people really like this band and never expected to see it again, so it's a treat," Jackson told Billboard around the time of the album's release. "It's certainly a treat for us, and I think that the feeling is infectious, because we're having a really great time. And it's worked out so much better than we'd thought. After about the third gig, me and Gary kind of looked at each other and said, 'Can you believe this? Can you believe it's been this long?'"

As he did on the first U.S. tour leg in March and April, Jackson will likely play much of the new album in concert, as well as a substantial portion of his past hits and fan favorites. "I've started to think that nostalgia is sort of like a recreational drug," Jackson said of revisiting his back catalog. "It's OK if you have a little bit now and again."
